    MF 175 Steering Repair Questions

    I read in the service manual about line reaming the bushings. How important is this? Can I just change the bushings and reassemble?

    MF 165 shift pattern.

    I have an early 70's mf175 without Multipower. The tranny is 3 speed, identical to the pattern shown without 4th gear, if that helps.

    The "problem" with the 3-pt may be the selector on top of the case was set to loader not 3-pt.

    180 injection pump problems

    Let me ask the obvious: Is the fuel shut off in the on position? Is the throttle advanced? If not then you are not asking the pump to send fuel to the injectors. Be sure that both functions are happening at the pump, not just at the operators station, you may be chasing bad linkages.

    Check the outlet of the fuel tank. A little debris here can cause the problems you describe.

    Silly question but, have you tried rev'ing up the engine? Single wire alternators need a minimum RPM before they start charging.
