    urious why you need to replace the rail? I have a 300 with a repaired right rail, my uncle passed away before I could get the story about what happened from him.

    I know it's not a utility, but my 300 had the tank heater plumbed to return to the thermostat housing. I have the hole plugged now but the former owner used it that way.

    One of the last steps on my 300 Farmall rebuild is to clean the air cleaner. This one was very dusty in the mesh element, it appeared that the oil level hadn't been maintained. Upon further inspection, I noticed that the inlet pipe didn't extend down to the oil, it's only about 1/4" past the...

    300 Cylinder Head Question

    While working on cleaning up the head for my 300, I noticed a sleeve pressed into the hole for the center stud. Is this there from the factory or is this a repair of some kind? I don't see any other defects in the head or any other signs of repairs. I'll try to attach a photo.
