Wrong replacement blades for rotary cutter

Thank you! I did get the new bolts, washers, and nuts. I figure it's probably good practice to change those with the blades.

Wrong replacement blades for rotary cutter

The guy at agrisupply gave me the wrong blades for my rotary cutter (dirt dog 5'). I should have measured the blades when he gave them to me. The blades are the correct length and thickness and the hole is the same size and positioned properly. The blades will physically fit easily. My...

Thank You. I figured as much, but as mentioned, my confidence in my judgement is a little low. I appreciate it.

    Rotory cutter blades wobble

I removed the blades to clean debris and lightly grind a few nicks out. Problem is, I've tightend them as much as I could but the blades wiggle up and down just a little on the shoulder bolt. Is the "shoulder" on the bolt what is doing that so the blade can be tightend without the blades...

    Which replacement discs to get

I'm actually going to do just that. I have to clean the edge on my rotary cutter blades. Might as well clean up this disc. I'll use it as is for now, but I will probably replace them in the not so distant future. I'll see how it works first. Thanks!

    Which replacement discs to get

Thanks! Is there in advantage to either notched or smoothed? I have very sandy soil if that matters. Lots of johnson grass that I am brush hogging now, but plan on plowing over to expose roots and rhizomes to winter. Not sure if that is important info or not.

    Which replacement discs to get

I just bought an old disc harrow for 80 bucks. I greased the fittings and everything spins smoothly now. The discs look a little beat up. I see agrisuply carries replacements. They measure just shy of 17". Ill assume they are 18s and just worn down pretty good. What other criteria needs to...

Ingenuity! Thanks. Maybe I'll make some sort of drag out of some chain link fence.

How to plant 5 acres of cover crop?

All good info to consider. I think I'd like to go with an annual. I plan on plowing it under and rotating my annual crops (especially garlic and onions). Perhaps the perennial cover crops can go between my asparagus rows. Thanks again for taking the time to help me out.
