    Old style bendix spring on front. Should the part that slides on sprial shaft lock when sucked in toward starter.cant get to spiral towards front large spring .are these diffrent than the rachet knew style

    Iam glad you saw the millscale post . I think i will try the trick with gloss black rag were i welded joints and clear coat over millscale . Any suggestion for matte clear coat.

    Hokie that is it i do see some cold oxid method nice to know to not waste my time.. The frame is to big to emerse . But ive read some heating with torch and wiping oil and wax if you have any experience with this let me know.

    I remember somebody said they do decortive metal in my saw post. Ive started on my wife metal frame dining table . I wonder if i can clear coat over mill scale or ideas to keep that look.

    I will go look at it when wheather gets better if i get this tractor and fix it correctly no bubble gum and bandaids. This will be my last tractor ha ha.

    The owner also said the ford 2000 he would run all his used oil through it was that bad. Ill half to sell the 2n we have been fixing cracked block jb weld fix . I ran it for 1 hour it seems to be holding.
