    The 3000 tractor I purchased ran good yesterday and this morning hogging the pasture. On way to house, it quit. Seemed like it ran out of fuel. Tank has about 5 inches on a stick. Fuel filter cover is covered with thick baked on dirt or grease. How do I change it and get diese to pump again...

    Bought ford 3000, 2 days ago. Thought was 1967 model but was told last made in 1965. Serial number is 0827088, model # 01018c. Would it be a 1965 model or before. Thanks, Tom

    Thanks for the informatin. Tractor says 3000 on side of top cover. My wife made a guess when her father purchased the tractor and came us with 1978, Diesel engine. Is in good shape , just needs cleaning up. Everything works on it.
