    Case Nutty 1660, I probably was not patient enough after applying air pressure to the fuel tank, to wait for something to happen at the third filter bleeder plug. As you say, a full tank to the top has always worked before, it was being stubborn this time. thanks for your help gobble

    Case Nutty 1660; thank you for that bit of wisdon, I will say the tank was full clear up on the threads for the cap, between the air pressure and removing the plug in the final filter while cranking (which I beieve was the key),the magic happened.
