    Broken releif valve, IPTO.

Here is an update on my broken relief valve. I checked around and was not able to find a used one locally and Agco wanted over $600 for a new one. After looking to have the old one repaired at a local machine shop I realized that I would be able to file a taper on the broken end and use a...

    Broken releif valve, IPTO.

After removing the pressure control system and installing a relief valve on my Ferguson pump and adjusting the top cover on my 135, everything was working fine. I noticed that the Ipto started to turn, and the lever was in the off position. I shifted the lever to on and the gauge read zero...

    Pressure Control Valve

Thank you David and Evan for the honest and knowledgeable replies. I think I am going to remove the PC system as like Evan said most farmers do not use it and I would not know how or when to use it to start with. This tractor has not done any major farming for twenty years or more and is mostly...

    Pressure Control Valve

What is the valve needed for? I found a posting on here from 2008 suggesting the valve assembly can be removed. If removal is possible, what if anything will I notice. Just trying to decide if I should bother repairing mine or not. Thanks

    What is this ?

Thanks for the information. Davidp, good observation, this tractor has been worked on many times over the years and I am not sure what is supposed to be there. I disassembled the valve assemly and found the diaphragm is very stiff and cracked and the orings in the pc valve are also hard. I am...

    mf 135 hydraulic problems

Hi, my 135 used doing something similar, pulsing and very weak when lifting. In the service manual it says the pulsing can be caused by a sticking valve in the pump, when I disassembled mine I found 3 of 4 rings were broken on the pistons in the pump. I purchased a rebuild kit, replaced all the...

    Rear tire pressure.

Thanks David, I just ran into an old IH mechanic and asked him what he thought. They used to park the tractor on a good concrete floor and add air until the outer corner of the lug would start to raise up. This was usually around 16-18 psi depending on the make of tire. I will give this a try...

    Brake latch spring 135US

Hi All, Could someone post a picture of the brake latch assembly or a parts break down? My spring and pawl had been broken for years and the pin was seized in the pedal, so while it was apart for a new pump and pto I replaced the two parts. The problem I have is the spring does not hold the pawl...

best type of welding material to build up worn pin hole

I had my 135 done a few years ago. I took the axle to a machine shop, they bored it out pressed in a bushing so I could use two original MF bushings and I had them install a zert fitting. It should be good forever now, it lasted 30 odd years with one bushing and no zert.

    IPTO 135

Hi All, an update on my tractor, finally got enough time to finish assembly and final adjustments over the weekend. All went well, IPTO starts and stops, brake works, hasn't for 20 years. The lift works very well, smooth and strong enough to pick up a full bucket of gravel. I haven't had time...
