    Another Fuel Saver

Basically, it looks like water injection. It probably cleaned all the carbon out of the news truck's engine and that would explain their success....

    Oliver 88 Diesel oil pump/pushrods

The reason that you have to time the oil pump on spark-ignition tractors is that the oil pump gear also drives the distributor. Since there is no distributor on the Diesel, you do not have to time it. Sorry, can't help on the pushrods...but it is not uncommon for pushrod design to get upgraded...

    high altitude kit

Is it possible they also put in a WD-45 Crankshaft?? That would really jack up the power.....

Looking for used 13-38 tractor tire for JD 60

The current designation for that tire is 14.9-38.. I think it has been so since about 1960. You might have a tough time finding one with a 13" marking.

    2-85 VS 2-105

The rear end might have a 'steady bearing' on the back side of the ring gear like the 1950 series did but the 1850 didn't. I don't know about the newer brakes, but the 1950 had triple-disc brakes as well. Maybe that was changed in the 2- series.

    S55 diesel won't start/diesel in motor oil

Have you tried loosening the individual injector lines at the injector nozzle (even if you can only reach two of them)? While cranking, you should get fuel at each one. Sometimes it takes a bit of cranking to 'bleed' the system with the lines loosened. If you don't get anything through the...

    allis-5020

I paid $2800 for a 5030 (about 5 more HP) at an auction two years ago. 2WD, turf tires, broken tach. It does run great and is very easy on fuel, just remember to clean the radiator screen often, or else it will overheat.

    Red 1650 Cockshutt Wheatland

If the tractor is equipped with a 3-pt hitch, it would almost have to be mounted/dismounted to the front....

    44 cylinder head

Which engine is it? There was more than one used over the years, I'm pretty sure.

Test Results for Cylinder Pitting Thread

Dissimilar metals bathed in an electrolyte IS a battery. In the case of an engine, the coolant is the electrolyte. Yes it is very weak, but its still there.

    Highest Horsepower/Least Cubic Inches

The Oliver 1950 made 105 PTO HP with only 212 cubic inches using a GM 4-53 engine at 2400 RPM. Yes, it is a 2-stroke engine. That is probably right up there, although the newer turbocharged diesels could easily produce comparable power to displacement ratios. Generally they are not using all...

    Kerosene in a diesel

I have run more than 50% in really cold weather, no problems. 10 or 20 % is no big deal. The only downside is that there is not as much energy in Kerosene as there is in Diesel Fuel. Deisels can run on anything from Vegetable oil to Jet Fuel with no real modifications. But if you have Roosa...

Did you line bore the mains, or at least check them? If they aren't in alignment, you will have problems.
