    I've adjusted the linkage to where there is no more adjustment, I can only get it to rev.up to 2K rpms, PTO rpms are 2200.Anyone in IH land that can help me?

    Trying to figure out if the flow control valve is stuck, the steering and everything else works fine, good break peddle on left side and a mediocre peddle on the right side no leaks,sometimes the tractor will move just fine and other times it won't move at all.

    I pulled the distributor cap off and low and behold the centrifugal advance was frozen, sprayed it down good with nut buster it's working freely now, will let you know how things turn out. Thank you very much for the help.

    With the governor hooked up and adjusted the tractor has no power backfires as if it's starved for gas, it won't even pull itself, I can disconnect the governor and run a choke cable to the carburator throttle and it runs just fine plenty of power, I've went through the governor the bearings...

    Telite ( IH 454 gas

    Yes I've drained it more than once, cleaned the screen each time, both times there has been very little crud on the screen. Unless there's drain plugs that the operator manual isn't telling me about,there is 2 in the bottom and then the filter itself.

    I have friends who swear by transx,so I dumped 2 qts in it and I've been running it, before I did that the telite wasn't coming on it would move but not very good.

    I need to rephrase my last post, the telite is coming on and blinking real dim, the operator manual says to check the fluid,are the screen, the sensor and if none of that works the transmission lube pump is bad are going bad.
