    kmms, I would go with epoxy primer on cast iron and over any bare metal. The reason is epoxy sticks much better than urethane primer, but you can't sand epoxy very well. You can use urethane primer over existing paint, just scuff the surface with a red scotch brite first. If your sandblast...

    Thanks for the input. I checked another crank that I have and it has 2 indexing pins. So the flywheel can only be installed correct or 180 off. Luckily, my flywheel had clear markings for 2&3 DC.

    AlanK, right, there is no change in the forward speed of the tractor when I pull the TA lever back. The lever does snap back very crisply though.
