    Instrument panel lamp holder

Trying to get my 4600 back to decent condition. New wiring, steering repaired plus other miscellaneous fixes. Have two issues yet, tachometer drive and shorted lamp holder. It's the one that holds the lighting for the panel. Single wire with metal prongs. Found some online that fit a Mustang...

    IH disc plow

Going back to my records, a mid 90hp tractor would pull a 24 blade one-way. Width of cut would be 15 to 18 foot. Working depth of about 2.5 inches and pulled about 4.5 mph.

    IH disc plow

Dryland wheat and milo on the high plains. Used on dryland farms in Australia also. I put several hours in front of one when we lived in Queensland.

Literature---1969 FORD Full Line Brochure Pt2

Didn't mean any disrespect. I enjoy your postings, really like seeing what we've lost over the years.

Literature---1969 FORD Full Line Brochure Pt2

Curious, no mention of the 309 mounted planter. It's a shame that agriculture and farming have changed so much in the last 50 years so we've lost so many manufacturers.

Literature---1969 FORD Full Line Brochure Pt.1

Thanks, I have several of the individual equipment brochures from the later '70's. Used to have a bunch of papers from the late '60's , but discarded it when we moved. Had a whole lot of Oliver, New Holland, JD, and other barn and milking equipment papers as well. Seriously want to smack myself...

    Ford tractor salvage

Does anyone knows a tractor salvage yard that might have power steering parts. I need the sump for a 4600. It's the box on the steering column that the lines from the pump connect to. Thanks.

    4600 clutch issue

Thank you for your help. Just want to make sure I don't mess something up, see photo. All I need to do is unbolt the small plate and it will slide over input shaft, correct?

    4600 clutch issue

Yepper, finally was able to quit feeding hay so into the shop we go. Split and found oil contamination. I have issues with the power steering leaking and now that it's split I was able to get at things easier. Noticed the steering column is a bit loose were it's bolted to the case, so I figure...

    Fieldpower plus

Don't know if anyone remembers my post regarding them. I did say I found used parts for a better price. The parts in question are drill boots for a JD 8000 grain drill. Found used parts at Burrell Implement in OK. Excellent price, very good condition, great service. Would recommend them to anyone.

    Allis Chalmers 333 planter

Mr Lund, wouldn't a rate setup for 36" rows be equal to double the amount when used on 18" rows?

    Ford 150 Plow-Oliver/White Equivalent?

Oliver perhaps. My White plow brochure from around 1977 has a 598 vari-width but smallest is 4 bottoms. My Ford plow brochure from around the same time frame doesn't even have a 150 model listed

Ended up finding used parts for a better price. Called the salvage yard I had thought about contacting, I'll post results.

    Fieldpowerparts.com

Has anybody dealt with this company? I want to replace a couple of worn out boots on my JD 8100 drill and they have a really good price on the ones they have. A bit gun shy after reading some of the posts here. Thanks.

    Oliver Disc Parts

If I remember correctly Shoup carries axles, bearings and blades for the 50 series discs. Maybe a bit more expensive but it should be a way to salvage your disc.
