    Today's funny

How about when you ask a friend to go look at one for you that is for sale and he buys it for himself. He then says you can borrow it if you need it. I call that a backstabber.

What happened to the price of OSB?

Welcome to the new T***p America. 47 bucks for a gallon of paint remover at HD that used to be 19.00. 39 bucks to ship a 20 x 30 hay tarp that four years ago cost 21.00 Just double everything I guess.

    MIG welder problems

On my Hobart the same problem was caused by a bad switch in the gun. I just used a contact file to clean them up. Start with the simple stuff first.

    Lathe and milling machine

I think it all depends on what your needs are and the space you have. If you purchase a really good all in one like the Smithy Granite Bench Top Machineshop and it fills your needs it will be fine. Remember that the rule of thumb for mills and lathes is that you will spend double what you paid...

    301/1020 bucket dump super slow

Thanks for the help, haven't had a chance to investigate just yet. No quick couplers. Going to pull offending hose and see if plugged as I have seen that before as well. Then switch bucket with raise to isolate the problem. Great advice helps to pin it down quicker! I will let you know the...

    301/1020 bucket dump super slow

1974 JD 301 Industrial. All bucket functions work properly except when I go to dump over the bucket. Just very slow going over, stops sometimes, increase RPM a bit, and it goes just slow. New hyd pump, new lines, pressure checks OK, system serviced, rams rebuilt, etc. Everything else works...

    Farmers v. JD

So wouldn't that logic apply to just about anything on a tractor? You change a tire and it falls off and you crash into people? You replace a tie rod end and same story? So zero repairs if there is any chance of injury? Where does it end?

    M602 Tachometer

I have a 602 diesel and installed a India made tach, it works fine. The drives at the engine are different on the gas and diesel. The tachs are the same. Make sure the drive gearbox is clean and greased.

    Diesel glow plugs

Never heard of those. Seems like a much better idea. Where in the piping did you place it, close to the heads I would assume? Does it work kinda like glow plugs where you energize it for a time then start and if so how long do you keep it on? Thanks much I am going to look into that...

    Diesel glow plugs

Has anyone ever installed glow plugs in a 602 diesel or the like? Ours won't start without ether or being warmed up. Might be a worthwhile winter project since it won't start:) Cheers!

Don't be like this guy....The fate of our hobby

Don't feel too bad, its the same fate for model train clubs, model airplane clubs, real airplane clubs, car clubs, etc. The cost today for items like tractors, airplanes, old cars, model train layouts is out of touch with the young. I used to belong to several clubs like that, all populated by...
