    Int 2444 leaking Hyd Oil into Crankcase?

    I think I got a kit from Steiner .There may be a lip on shaft that you will need to deal with . I moved the seal past the groove in shaft but some have used a speed sleeve .

    My 424 did just that . It leaked past the seal on the hydraulic pump .

    584 surprised me

    Mine sat through the winter storm untouched outside for 4 weeks . Started it at 20 degrees . She did turn over slow but she fired up .

    My 424 did the same thing . I had current to cap but would not spark at plugs . Cap looked great but I tried another cap and she ran like new .

    My 424 did exactly the same thing once. Voltage to cap but not to plugs . Cap looked fine . Replaced cap and she ran fine . Who knows .....

    300 Utility Changes in Cold Start

    Start with easy stuff first. Like others have said , check for good spark to all plugs. Voltage to cap , check point , cap , rotor . Probably ignition .

    I may have an opportunity to buy this M . Approximate value if motor not locked up? Tires are dry rotted and front grill bent . Guy used it to bush hog one day and parked it . He came back next day and it would not start . Been sitting several years but has tarp over the exhaust . Wants me to...

    Why does a tractor like my 424 ih use a fuel pump rather than simple gravity feed ? The pump actually pumps at very low pressure so I see no advantage. { other than maybe it allowed IH to set the carb at a certain level on the tractor which would not have allowed a gravity feed .]

    424 no spark update

    Tractor is running . Had weak spark so cleaned everything up and achieved good blue spark at plugs but still no start . Checked fuel and was getting fuel to bowl . Gave it a shot of ether and ran good for few seconds which eliminated timing or electrical issues . Pulled disassembled and cleaned...

    584 o rings

    I have a 584 ih diesel which has a 2250 loader . The hose quick connects are leaking at the loader control assembly . Does anyone know thecorrect o ring part number ? Thanks

    424 weak spark update / advice

    Thanks for suggestion . Fortunately I eliminated that darn thing many years ago and replaced it with a mechanical adjuster .
