Screen in elbow was clean. Cleaned thoroughly with carb cleaner. Checked flow from carb drain plug and it was good.

I did not remove the elbow, but I'm going to do it right now. Thanks.

The choke is ok. I have cleaned out the air cleaner. I have adjusted both the high and low speed screws. A friend said I might have a bad carburetor gasket and it might be getting too much air and starving the engine. Replaced it and no change. Now wondering if I have a leak in the intake...

My Ford jubilee is occasionally back firing and has little power and stops when only small load. Firing order is 1 2 4 3 and number 1 cyl is connected to the 10 o'clock post on distributor with the 4 cyl on post nearest coil connection all in clockwise order. Good spark at plugs. Cleaned...

    Oil pressure gage.

Ya, mine is a 53 Golden Jubilee and it doesn't look like that.

    Oil pressure gage.

I converted it to 12v. It really turns over faster and started right up but was running rough at idle. So, attempted to adjust the timing. I marked the beginning position, but no matter where I adjusted it, it ran worse and started to backfire. Removed the lower distributor plate and found...

    Oil pressure gage.

It was not locked in place. At least I was able to move the mechanism around easily.

Do you think replacing the distributor will solve my problem with starting and running rough?

    Oil pressure gage.

Do I need to take off the hydraulic pump? I talked to you earlier about carb problems and distributor. I found that the mechanical advance in the distributor has broken springs and ordered a replacement. I hope that cures the rough running.

    Oil pressure gage.

I am replacing the oil pressure gage on my ford Jubilee. Can someone tell me where the line goes to the crankcase? The old line was cut off and I cannot find a plug that looks like it would work on the engine.

Did you see my post about the air cleaner? Took if off a few minutes ago and it was half full of ice. Tried to start it again and now I think it is flooded again. Will remove the carb one more time and try to get the float straight. Also, will heat and dry the plugs. I thought I had it...

Got it started. Did you see my post?

Got it started. I heated, cleaned and dried the plugs, but it wouldn't start and gas started dripping off the carb. It appeared to be choking too much. So, I took the air cleaner hose off and it started. Lots of fuel in that hose. I have an oil bath filter. How much oil should be in it and...
