    Oliver Wagon Unloader

That's what I thought, but I wasn't a bit sure. If anyone is interested in it, online only auction ends May 26 2026. And there are a lot more pictures of it, I only reposted one over here for people to see.

    Oliver Wagon Unloader

Saw this on auction in Fremont WI, I'm a Case guy but it caught my eye. That said, I really don't know what it is and I'm trusting their description of it. False end-gate wagon drive thing-a-ma-doodle? https://bid.hansenauctiongroup.com/ui/auctions/159777/24348023

    Almost $19k fordson

I usually heard it called a Dupont Overhaul.

How does the high low work feels like it has three positions 72 case 580 ck

Looks the same as the ag tractors, so it should have Low-Neutral-Direct, all in a straight line. I think low is forward, but I'm not sure. If it's not torque-converter drive then it could be a triple-range, that adds High range. The range shifter doesn't tip sideways, it slides (and it only...

    Magneto spark polarity?

Ends of a magnet are easy, a north pole is the same polarity as earth's north pole. i.e. a compasses north pointer will point at the north pole of a magnet. (Which does mean that the north pointer of a compass is actually a "south" magnet, because opposites attract) EDIT !!!! I got that all...

    Magneto spark polarity?

Thought you were joking, but I found that 15% loss quoted several places!

    Magneto spark polarity?

Stupid useless question, but... Since a magneto uses an un-rectified alternator to charge it's ignition coil, every spark would be the reverse polarity of the previous one. i.e. on a 4 cylinder, if 1 and 4 are positive spark, 2 and 3 would be negative spark. Am I right? Does that mean two spark...

Case 1490 fan belt replacement instruction

Hope I don't have to change the belt on ours, I thought it was the same as a 1390. That has a rubber coupling between the engine and pump that's a real pain to take out, but you don't have to take the pump loose.

    Interesting Case Drott

I'd love to have it!!! Or were you looking for other ideas?...

    New to me 430 forklift

Just want to point this out, what you have there is (I think) a CASE FORKLIFT --- not a conversion kit on a Case tractor. I hadn't heard of Harlo before but the masts do look the same, and they probably made the ones Case used on their forklifts ( Case was outsourcing stuff like that in the...

    1494 PTO grind

Yep, normal. Our 1290 shifts in with one small "click" (it's gotten used a lot), but our 1390s all grind a bit. Those all have a similar design for the PTO.

What method do you use to keep from getting paint on tires when painting rims?

My brother has used dish soap. Mask close to the rim with tape, and paint on dish soap from there right up to the rim. Wash it off after the paint dries. Probably only works with spray painting, not brush painting.

    Identify these weights

For what it's worth, our 1290, 3x 1390s, and a 1394 all have 5 spoke "power adjust" wheel centers/rims. There's also a 990, 1290, and 1390 in the family with the 6 spoke pressed steel wheel centers (non "power adjust"). So they were available with both styles over most or all of their production...

    Identify these weights

It looks like it would fit the "power shift" style wheel centers perfectly. A 995 (or 1290) size would have 5 spokes to the rim, but only 4 holes for bolting on wheel weights. And there are notches out of the weights so you can adjust the wheel spacing while it has weights on. The last poster...

Gehl CB800 PTO is there a way to tell 540 or 1000?

I'm not sure how much of the driveline you still have. If you have the telescoping part at the front, 540 rpm is usually square where it telescopes, while 1000 rpm is usually ~20 1/2 (?) splines where it telescopes. -USUALLY-, but there are some others. Also, many of those PTO shafts are...
