    hydraulics/loader

I just bought my first tractor a 47' 8n with a freeman loader. The hydraulic line running to the loader has a spin valve like an outside faucet to open and close the line. You have to open the line to use the loader, however to do this the old owner also had chains wrapped around the arms of...

    Hey Farmall H guys

What fans are you running on your H's if you aren't running electric? Is there a flex fan or one that doesn't throw near as much air as a stock one? Mine really throws a lot of air too much actually. I would imagine there are a few ponies hinding in there somewhere. Thanks for your advice!

1650 Transmission Problem Fixed - Thank you all !

Thanks for all the advice on trying to figure out why my 1650 transmission was locking up between low and high ranges when you would slip it into the high range. The input shaft was the culprit. The shaft itself was good but I didn't have enough shims installed on the front side of the bearing...

boring an F140 MH 22 engine

I have a brand new set of 3-5/16" pistons & rings that I would like to put in my old worn out F140 engine. That will require boring it 1/8" over stock. Has anyone done this? I'd just like to know if anyone has done it before I screw up a block un-necessarily. Thanks for any help.

    OT: Dodge diesel steering problem

My 99 Dodge diesel power steering has always moaned and groaned when cold and the temp outside is below 30F. The other day it got worse and fluid started foaming out the filler cap. I refilled it and it did fine until the next morning. The pump also runs the brake hydro-boost system. I replaced...

I am getting ready to split the tractor to replace the rear main seal. Looks pretty straight forward on the split. Figured even though the clutch does not seem bad I will look at close and possibly replace. Question is can I get that seal out after dropping oil pan or does it just pop out after...
