    I had a motor at first but it turned to fast and the time it would have taken to make it right, I figured just turn it by hand and get it over with. The speed wrench brace made it better

    This is interesting, I changed fuel filters on a 180 with a 4-236 Perkins diesel, my hand pump only had pressure for the last 1/4 of lever stroke, is there a relation to the crank position for the hand pump to work better? we had a tough time getting mine running.

    Yep , oil pressure was 50 so I think I'm good , I will have to watch it probably would not hurt to run it a few hours and then change it. I would guess there was no filtering with that 1188 in there

    Thanks I'm going to install the 1183 , I assume the oil pressure is measured after the filter so if my oil pressure is normal I should be ok. Does that seem right?
