    Delco 1108038 I check ohms and it is not open looked at bushings,brushes. wiring to brushes is sketchy looking and then this groove. put back together and hit it with Battery in vice and wire to 2 brushes started smoking.     I'm wondering how difficult it is to rebuild. I'm in E. Central MO and have no idea who to even look for if I wanted to farm it out. I'm fairly competent mechanically,most of the time, but don't want to get in too deep. Any advice is appreciated

    I only checked spark with key on and breaking pts not while actually cranking. My arms aren't quite long enough. Battery cables are OEM as far as I know. That's what was on it when it was bought in 1980.Leaks from bottom of carb after a bit so flooded is probably spot on. Main adjust screw...

    Tractor sits alot. Try to start every couple weeks. Have spark,Fuel, compression but can't get to light.6v system cranks slow but if I have all of the above does that matter? Carb leaks out main adjusting screw and weep hole in bottom. Stuck float? Dirty needle valve?Am I missing anything...

    I did a side job last year and the wife knew what that was worth. I had been looking at a cub that didn't run and was on the fence. Long story short I came home from the job with a tractor and cash in my pocket.Let's just say the cash didn't stay in my pocket for long but I got the tractor.
