fuel shut off
thanks sound guy I did that on a tractor that I traded it was ugly but it worked and junk is right to most valves I just hate to tear this thing back down I just got it back together after motor work and fresh paint. thanks again jerry -

I have a 64 4000 gas and I have tried 3 lever type gas shut offs and 4 different screw types and they all leak I've got gas dripping from the carb one of the valves wouldn't seat and leaked at the tank Please HELP I'm stumped -

Hay Guys get the cast iron and galvanized pipe fitting off the hydraulics I worked 30 years as a mechanic in the coal mines and hydraulics are dangerous CAST and GALVANIZED fittings blow up easy. Use approved hyd. fittings -

sounds like your coil is breaking down when it get hot I put a 12 volt coil on a 2N that was changed to 12 volts and a one wire altenator -

oil pressure problem update
the paint was mostly this way I have been touching up and correcting the body work but a major paint job is in the future the bearing on the connecting rods is 0.060 thick all of them and no noise in the bottom except the governor -

thanks for the comments and the info this is a 172 gas engine and from all I can gather I need a rebuild I worked the tractor with a brush hog about a month ago for 6 or 7 hr with low oil pressure and over heating problems so I think the damage is done and a rebuild is in short order. I don't...
