by Bobby Duke Jr.
It is still used by my father Mr. Bobby Duke Sr. and myself to tend our vegetable gardens. It has an exhaust lift system that replaced the hand levers to raise and lower the cultivators. The tractor still had an original Goodyear front tire that lasted over 40 years until it finally busted in the field. It is cranked by the crank handle and is in need of a paint job, but is being used as we write this article. My dad is shown in the picture running some rows for the garden this year. He recently had his 71st birthday and is still able to operate his equipment despite a stroke and battle with prostate cancer. I have never seen another tractor with this type of lift configuration.
