8N no oil pressure

I’m reviving this old thread just to say thank you to all the members past and present that are generous enough to share their knowledge. I had a no pressure situation after an oil change and thanks to you and this old thread and this forum I discovered how to prime the pump and get her back up and running. Thank you!!

Backwash or oil can only be added slowly via breather tube is because there is no place for air to get out of the crankcase. Loosen or remove dipstick really helps with that problem. It let's the air out of crankcase.

Just curious, so your saying adding oil quickly flooding the entire filler neck then forces air in the oil pickup into the pump causing or at least leading to a possible air lock on start up?
