You can get close, does it have oval or round muffler, one headlight or two in each fender, hydraulic controls on dash or console, dimmer switch, type of hydraulic outlets, air cleaner, fuel filter, the list goes on and on

Olivers have casting dates on the tub, serial numbers on the engines. I thought Deeres also had serial numbers on the engines. Post on the John Deere forum maybe somebody there can help.

Is it a side console or dash hydraulic levers, then check your engine serial number, most were stamped under the generator mount, maybe somebody could narrow it down a bit.

It was an option. Not a definitive way to date a tractor.

Large injectors versus pencil injectors would make it a 1964. Pencil injectors would narrow it down to 65-68. The problem is that around 60 years after being manufactured there is a greater chance of non-original parts being on the tractor.
