    1948 8N Front mount dist.-6 volt. I need to replace the gasket on the governer housing,is the anything special i need to know before unbolting the housing to replace the gasket?Do i have to take the linkage loose to replace the gasket?

    1948 8N Front dist.-6 volt Serial # 8n47094. Has anyone ever bought rear axle oil seals from NAPA and if so do you have the part number?

    Oil Leak coming from rear end???

    1948 8N Front mount dist.---I noticed oil leaking from out of the brake drum on the right rear of my 8N. I know its a oil seal but is it on the inside of the rear end or on the outside once you take the drum off.If anyone has a picture of the break-down it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

    8N Serial number question?

    I just wrote the serial number down from my 8N so if i needed parts and i would have the serial number.The question I have is, there is a star at each end of the serial number,does that mean anything or were all the serial number stamped that way? I know this is a stupid question but i was curious.

    Cyclone Air Breather

    Does anyone have a close up picture of the cyclone air breather that sticks out the side of the hood?My 8N had the cyclone but the breather was under the hood and i was wondering if i could take off the louvered door and put the breather on the outside of the hood.
