Anybody make it to the Two Cylinder Club Auction?

I was planning to go but got roped into pulling a float in a parade. I was told I am the "only one" with a truck. I bet. I am quitting these jokers. I'll have to wait a whole year for another auction. Anyway, did anybody go and what were the prices? Thanks, Bill.

It is very important to everyone impacted by the drought the Bill be brought up for vote and passed brfore the House goes on summer break. Parts of the old Bill have...

Lincoln vs Miller welder/generator (Gasoline powered)

Any thoughts on which is better. I worked in a shop that used Miller welders hooked to the utility, never any problems. Have used Lincoln too but to a lesser extent. Use would be do it yourself repairs and a back-up generator. Would like (of course) to buy one machine that would serve as a...

    Lumber question

I build furniture, etc. out of cherry lumber. I had about 10 board feet left over from a couple of years ago. Purchased 50 board feet a couple weeks ago. It is lighter in color than the older lumber. My question is will cherry lumber get darker with age? Thanks, Bill.

Beware of Raccoons in Southern IN, etc.

Just returned from a two week trip. Reccoons are everywhere. They are not animals to feed or try to make pets of. They can carry rabies and more commonly distemper (sp?). In IN if you trap they have to be released in the same county as they were trapped, of course use care such as heavy...

    Drill Doctor tools any good?

I have stayed away from them as the name Drill Doctor sounds too much like a TV info-commercial. In other words a fancy name; items with these type of names usually turn out to be junk just to get your money. I see they also have knife and blade sharpeners. They are made (or maybe just...

Hard to find tools made in the USA

Looks like people would understand money makes circles. Henry Ford figured this out. If you buy something hade her the money stays here. Just walk down the hand and electric tool aisles at your favorite store. I don't mind buying from a country that buys our products in return but it...

    Pull type lawn sprayer

I'm tired of of trying to kill the weeds, etc. in my yard with a 2 gallon spray can. Have noticed pull type sprayers that can be used behind your lawn and garden tractor. The newer ones use an electric pump that connects to the vehicles battery. Older sprayers had their own engine. There is...

Thinking about a 2950/55 down the road. Need a cab with A/C as hot as summers are any more. Heard you have to remove the cab to split the tractor for a clutch replacement. Anybody know if this is true? If correct, it makes clutch replacement a huge job. Thanks in advance, Bill.

    Re: Ot: NASCAR

NASCAR should have called the race after the fire. It went on way too late for a week night. Everybody was ready to get out of there or go to bed if you were watching at home. Think I will go out in the shop and work on something in the future. Wounder why NASCAR has so many unsold seats...
