    Farmall 400 P.S.

Hey guys,I just picked up a real nice 400 with what looks like factory Behlen p.s.,Schwartz wide front. The steering assist seems weak compared to my SM with add on Behlen system. The hydralic output to the remote hook ups is very good. Any advice on how to go about diagnosing the issue?

Jon F was kind enough to give me an old Badger unit but unfortunately the gear ,which is what is broke in mine, was different enough that I could not make it work. What can happen will

I have a fuel tank from a White tractor mounted in the bed of my plow truck because the saddle tanks kept rusting out. This year while getting it ready for the season it developed a fuel supply issue, it would stall after running for a short time. I figured must be worn out pump but a...

    Hydraulic Bucket Truck Modifications

I bought an old 87 Ford bucket truck for various jobs around the place like trees and painting. Its boom is powered by an engine driven hydraulic pump with electric applied clutch . Works good but requires engine to be running to operate. The stop/start from bucket system has been removed and...

    Greasing Woes

I have noticed a steady increase in problems with greasing fittings. I find new out of the box parts that wont take grease, wont fit the gun correctly or leak from the ball tip or the actual body of the part. I can go out to my 60+ year old tractors and grease all those fittings without issues...

Re: Wife says I can build a hotrod if I sell most of my tra

My 2 cents are if you have a 302 you will want a manual trans to take advantage of the quick and high revs it is capable of. I have an old school 327 small journal that I routinely bounce to 7500, and it has seen 8500 once or twice. The old short stroke small blocks really buzz up fast, but lack...

    Corn Picking

This is a similar video as I have posted in past years, thought some of you might enjoy it. Perfect fall day here in MN. The corn is nice and dry, very tall. These are 15 inch rows so I have to ride the outside to avoid running down the next row. As a result I lost some ears over the...

    Stuck clutch

Guy brought this tractor to me with stuck clutch and wouldn't run, bad carb. Fixed carb, runs good but cannot get clutch to let go. Rusted disc to flywheel maybe. He said it happened once before. I got it fully warmed up and drove around applying brakes, jerking , etc. Hooked to a pickup and...

Hey guys , I need help with a source for loader seals on a Farmhand F19 loader, single acting cylinders. I replaced them about 20 years ago and kept the old ones for reference. I just got this Farmall B over the weekend, I have been looking to buy one for a couple years now. This one was right down the road , been sitting for 15+ years. Runs and drives decent.
