Can you tell me where the solenoid is on this starter ? It s on my case dozer. One loud click I can hear the starter gear jump forward and the spring as it releases but not crank. I m used to it being piggy backed on the starter. Tapped it good no such luck.

    Steering Gone 89 Case 455C

Hi Guys, I was using my crawler to pull a log out of the woods the other day. No problems, got the log into the pasture and decided to cut it in half so I could use a grapple on another tractor to carry it to the sawmill without tearing up the pasture. I hopped off, cut the log in half...

    Uship?

I used It twice. First time I got a Deere 4010 shipped from sw Kansas to central missouri for 600 bucks. Told my wife I wouldnt drive a Honda Civic that far for 600 bucks. He had a long 25 foot gooseneck and a heavy duty pickup. All kinds of crap on the trailer he was on a milk run. Next I...

    Mowing a slope

Hi fellas, I grew up in Illinois on flat land. We had 2wd row crop tractors. Wasn't a foot of elevation change across the county. Now Im I the missouri ozarks and we have hills, real hills. My farm has about 70 acres of ridgetop pasture. The pasture ends at the woods where it really gets steep...

3 point vs pull not till drill

Great advice and insights as usual. Great pictures as well. Wow, spent some time looking at tractor data site and replacing my 4010 is going to be a challenge. I am surprised how light a 100 hp tractor is. They look big with the cabs. Looking at a massy kubota or mahindra I have around 50K...

3 point vs pull not till drill

Hello guys Id appreciate your recommendations on drill type. Ive had a small farm (40 acres) that I have played around with in central Missouri for last 10 years or so. Id often rent the Great Plains 606nt from Nrcs and pull it with my old 4010. Its a pull type. Ive just bought a 450 acre place...

    Deere 4010 ignition

My old 4020 wont wake up from winter nap. Still the old 24 volt diesel. She has been testy the last few years. Sometimes I'd turn the key and it would be dead. If I kept the key turned and ran the gear shift up and down a few times it would fire. The trick isn't working and I'm guessing...
