    Christmas light parade

Did anyone here go to the Goliad, Texas Christmas Light Parade last night? My sister and her family were there and she sent 5 pictures of nicely decorated tractors. 2 of them were possibly Ford Ns or Fergusons. She heard someone say that they were Fergies, but I'm not convinced. Picture...

    Jacobsen built lawn tractors

I just did a search of the archives for Jakobsen built Jake, Ford, MM and White lawn tractors. Not finding much. I have 4 jakes, 4 Fords, 1 MM and 1 White. I never see any at the tractor shows that I attend. Anyone else playing with these?

    Re: Jubilee transmission

With engine off, try grabbing one of the rear tires and rocking the tractor back and forth. Ih mid- fifties Ford cars could get locked up in 2 gears and we rocked the car backwards. I did it to a mid- 80s Corvette that got locked in 2 gears. TRUE!

    Ferguson vs Ford

The BBC aired a video this past September, Tractor Wars, Ferguson versus Ford, produced in Northern Ireland by DoubleBand Studios, and partially filmed here in Michigan. It can be seen on Youtube. There are several scenes that show two of my tractors, my 1940 9N and my 1951 8N. I had agreed...

    Party, anytime. for any reason

We were out to dinner with our eldest son and his family, yesterday. We were informed that they are coming to our house on Jan 1st for a party. Oh? We did not relate that it was 25 years ago, Jan 1, that they came home from Hawaii, our son's last duty station as a marine. When they came home...

    Harry Ferguson

An FYI for you guys. I am a Ford tractor guy. On Tuesday, DoubleBand Films, from Belfast, Northern Ireland, spent 2 hours at my house. They are producing a one-hour video, to be released next fall, for the Irish BBC about Harry Ferguson and the Ferguson System in the 1939, and later, 9N...

    Where was Barney-Pete in Md

I got a response back from my friend on the weight of those logs. Purely an estimate based on the picture: about 4 ft in dia x 20 ft long = 250 cu ft looks like hardwood, oak = 50 lbs/cu ft 50 x 250 = 12,500 lbs x 2 = 25,000 lbs nice logs needed bigger axles on the trailer!

Do not drive after health test

My original post was rejected by this site. It was a simple joke. Too sensitive, I guess. Home test for the flu/virus. The pandemic is not a joke and having been jabbed AND having the illness, I for one do not make light of it. BUT...a little humor can lighten the stress.

    Home nnalert-19 test

    1. Open a fresh can of beer. 2. Pour it into a nice cold glass. 3. Smell it. 4. Taste it. Results: If you can smell it and taste it, you do not have nnalert-19. Repeat this test as often as desired. If you have a headache the next morning, repeat the test later in the day.

    John Deere 314

I have been offered a JD 314 with a mower deck, snow blower and a rototiller. It does not run, according to my contact. I have not seen it. I'm tempted, but I do not need another project ($). But for the price, free, what do I do? Anyone care to comment on the pros and cons for a 314?

    Farm Toy Auction

There was some discussion awhile back about selling farm toys. I just received a flier about an online farm toy auction. It is the sale of a private collection of hundreds of toys. Check out, www.rolloandbrad.com. I am not related to nor do I have any interest or investment in the auction.

Re: I swear I spend more time jackin around hooking up to s

Obviously, every one wants and trys to back up to an implement, get off and easily hook up the lift arms. We do get lucky from time to time. Uneven ground can also be troublesome. Usually, I can slide the left arm on from the seat and then "inch" a bit forward or back to get the right arm on...
