    M5 ampi-torc

    If the torque unit is slipping real bad can the tractor be split and the unit removed? Then just run the tractor in direct speeds. In direct it slips as well. Is this the main clutch or the amp torc?

    Low gear swap model As

    Thanks for the input. The engine is plenty hot... It isn't a power issue, There are just many times I would like to have a much slower speed. So the reduction gear is what I need to look into? So they will interchange?

    M5 heads

    I have an LP M5 it runs good with the stock 4210 heads. I want to put it on gasoline, and even though it will do ok with the current heads, I have a set of 4207 heads for it. Which ones would develop higher HP with the tractor running on gas instead of LP? Thanks. It has the 338A engine.

    To my knowledge all JD two cylinder flywheels with side mount flywheels all turn counter clockwise looking at the flywheel.

    John Deere B serial question - No Plate!

    When you say a 6 speed, do you mean a 3 speed with a high low or a single stick 6 speed. This will help narrow the year model down.

    I have a chance to buy a real nice restored 430 High Crop. It was done right but about 10 years ago. Very nice looking tractor with new rubber. I don't know what to offer the man for it. Any thoughts?

    TD-340

    I have a TD340 that starts good but just stopped in the field many years ago. The engine clutch is good, but when you put it in gear it kills the engine. Before I open it up any thoughts? Any know problems to look into first? The gearshift goes through the gears, but could be stuck in two gears...
