    Requesting Opinions!

    I am looking to get into a combine for corn and small grains. I have narrowed down my choices to a Gleaner F3 (nearest dealer for parts 2.5 hours away, mid 80"s vintage) or a JD 4400 (mid 70"s vintage with several dealers within a 1.5 hour ride). Pro"s and cons? thoughts? not a lot of acreage...

    Try John and Leroy Tomlinson in Marlette. Was just looking at a 715 out there and they had quite a few heads, including flex. Have not done business with them, but seem nice enough.

    I should have said when I move the arm on the throttle butterfly by hand (no linkages attached to carb) is races crazy with minimal movement.

    My gas fired 460 stalls immediately upon putting a load on it. Will move itself with the choke out 3/4 way. Always starts immediately, condition prevails when engine is hot, cold. Outside temp makes no difference. Engine has fresh plugs/points/rotor/condenser/wires. Carb recently rebuilt...
