3000 wont start
I know you have to have fuel combustion and spark. Is there a systematic and easy way to check for each? It got to where it wouldnt start unless you gave it a squirt of ether. Only did this a few times this spring. Last time I used it quit and now wont start at all. A multi meter is my...- drastic dave

What's this manual for?
I snagged this section of a service manual off ebay for my Case 188D engine entitled BURL. FORM 9-70451 Section III - Diesel Engine. 6-61-1000 Printed in U.S.A. It's not for my machine as I see RPMs are different. Does anyone know which machine it's for?- WilBury

You can see that the splines are wore out. I cleaned & welded them up today. Tomorrow I'll grind them back into shape...................Hopefully! -

If you look at the second picture you'll see a bearing surface towards the front, that is a larger diameter then what the bearing shaft surface is. Pat -

So you are saying this is correct pto shaft for my tractor with the sleeve welded on? How would you change the bearing? I need to find another one, because the splines are worn pretty bad. I could weld them, and then grind them to back shape again. But I'd rather just find a replacement... -

Yard art wheels
Well I threw them into my molasses bath for a couple of weeks, then pressured washed them. I then wire wheeled them to be shinny clean bare metal. I then cut out rusted area, and welded in metal, and drilled new valve stem holes. I have now painted them. I think their keepers! Now I need... -
