    ATF

    I got a 55 gal drum of red oil at an auction I assume is atf. If it is atf would it be ok to use for hyd oil/trans hydraulic in tractors since hyd oil is so expensive or could it damage seals? It seems like a medium to heavy grade.

    Fixed WD starter rinky dink

    The starter was acting up on again and barely able to crank it over at times. I realized the problem was that 2 brushes with just the bare wires have almost no spring pressure and maybe not even touching, I'm guessing the springs lost strength with age and didn't seem possible to get another...

    Metering shaft

    I put the injection pump head back in and the shaft that goes in the side for speed control I put in but it's hard to know for sure if it's in the groove. I cranked it over with lines off with the throttle in shut off and full throttle and think there's a difference in fuel spraying out but hard...

    Another thing a WD is handy for

    Since I have no one to help me a WD is handy to push non running tractors in the shed using reverse and the hand clutch since you can easily do it standing on the ground and then going back to steer the other one.

    International injection pump leak

    It was spraying out the head by the small square, I took the head out and noticed crumbles on the bottom but the bottom gasket looks good so not sure if it was replaced and never cleaned out? The top o ring still looks OK so not sure if it's because it's old and hard and a new one should resolve...

    1586 injector pump leaking

    It is spraying out of the small square are where 2 parts meet. How hard would it be to fix? It looks like it shouldn't be too bad to get the lines off and out of the way but not sure after that.

    D17 oil pump on WD

    I tried inspecting the cam bearings and could barely get a .003 feeler gauge to start a little on the top and they visually look pretty good. The service manual says the clearance is .002-.004. So the Allis guy said he would sell me a wd45 oil pump for $50 since he said it has longer gears...

    WD relief seat

    On this WC motor I hand pump oil into the oil line and it ran out pretty fast out past the relief valve with no pressure. It looks like the seat is scored and almost looks like a burn hole in it. I wonder how that happened and I'm thinking I'll replace the seat and that might help the oil...

    WC oil pump removal

    Does the drive gear up by cam need to be removed in order to remove oil pump? It comes down about 1/8 and can't get it any more.

    WD engine serial number location

    I can't find where the engine serial number is stamped. It must be a late model tractor since it has a slightly curved shifter and has the snap coupler hitch but I realized yesterday the water manifold must be from a early WC? So I plan on putting one on with the 3 bolt thermostat.

    Would a crankshaft from a truck engine work in a 560 gas? I'm thinking it prabably would but not sure about where the flywheel mounts.

    986 leaking hyd oil 3pt

    It's leaking pretty bad on both sides from the lower 3 pt mounts with plow hooked on it. How hard is it too fix and does all the hyd oil need to be drained?

    I bought a 766 with the left brake not working, there's nothing at all even if I try pumping it or holding it in. What would be the most likely reason?

    What is Rotella T oil 10w intended for

    I have a full 55 gal drum of 54101 Rotella T oil 10W. You would think the T would mean transmission but from what I looked up it sounds like it's for motor oil. I was hoping I could use it as hydraulics oil since I need that more and 10 is lighter than I want to use even in a gas motor.

    806 no timing mark

    I turned it over by hand 4 revelotions and I didn't find the other timing mark on injector pump. I just got the pump from a tractor salvage yard and I needed the shaft too so I installed it with the shaft going into gear so I would think it should be close to timed if all the gears are the same...
