    tires for a IH Cub

I bought a set of Carlisle farm tires for the rear of my cub. They say made in the USA on them. I wouldn’t have it any other way.

    Sediment Bowl Question

Is the fuel flow volume the same on all Farmall sediment bowl assemblies. I temporarily replaced the sediment bowl assembly on my M with one for a cub and was wondering if I may have a flow issue. The inlet and outlet sizes look the same. Is the only real difference the bowl size? More or less...

    Farmall Steering Wheel Removal

Jim is right about the cut off wheel. The last four of these type tractors I would heat and pull with different pullers and they just would not move. I eventually gave up an just cut them off. Be careful not to cut into the shaft, don’t loose the key in there and pry the cut open with a chisel...

Looking for complete belly pump assembly for 1940 Farmall H serial H21044

Welcome to Yesterday’s Tractors, You will need a belly pump from an H. If your H has no sign of having a pump then you will want all of the components for the pump unit. That will include not only the pump unit but also the drive coupling between the transmission drive and the pump and the...

    Farmall M Engine Kits?

I realize that there is nothing I can do about other people buying Chinese. My own personal choice is to put in the effort searching for ways not to, even if it costs me much more time and money. I only wish more people did the same, that would be something we could do about it.

    M belly pump coupler question

So I am replacing some seals and have my belly pump out of my Farmall M. I discovered that the drive key/coupler was broken. My question; is anyone remaking these things or am I going to be locating a used one. The SleezeBay wants $50 for it. My broken one was very, very hardened. It was also...

    Farmall M Axle Housing Gasket

UPDATE, That s exactly what I did. I imprinted the shape and the bolt hole pattern with a ball peen. Then cut the gasket with a scissors and the bolt holes with a hole punch. Aligning that big gear to the shaft while reassembling through the pto opening was not easy. I still think that I...

    Farmall M Axle Housing Gasket

So I m installing new gaskets between the transmission side and the axle housing on my 1950 Farmall M. I am going to make my own gaskets. I have made an observation about the hole on the transmission side near the bottom. It seems obvious to me that the hole is an oil return from the bearing...

    Farmall M Axle Housing Gasket

In my original post I stated that I understood the purpose and need for the oil passage hole. My question is/was are there any other issues similar to this that I should consider before making my own gasket.

    Farmall M stand mount point

Has anyone used the forward drawbar mount point as a location to mount stands? I am considering drilling holes to match in a steel crossmember then bolting it to the tractor and using stands to support it. I have tall welded stands which I have used for this kind of work before. I am just...

    560 fuel filter canister gasket

That is a special sealing washer/gasket on the top of the fuel filter canisters. So if you don t use the correct washer to seal it it will leak diesel fuel. Often the surface on the canister top if a bit uneven so the correct washer is often a fiber type. I have experimented with other types...

So Much Better, 560D Picking Picture

I have a couple of Farmall Ms that I have been using to take down my corn. This year I finished work on my 560D. So this is the first time I got to use it for pulling my corn picker and gravity wagon. SO Much better!!! The M just moves to fast in thicker corn and clutching the pto becomes a...

So Much Better, 560D Picking Picture

Thanks, My biggest frustration with using the M was the speed in first gear. Often times it was just too fast. If i would run into some thicker and heavier sections of my corn field the tractor was just moving too fast in first gear. You cant slow down the RPMs because the picker needs that...

    Easy Off Oven cleaner

Frank, Yes, I have successfully used for several such tasks. Not only can it free up stuck parts, but sometimes it is perfect for removing stubborn grime. However, be careful when spraying it. It contains sodium hydroxide and you really don t want to breathe that.

    Re: Another M hydraulic question

Thanks Jim and D Slater. This clears it up for me as well. I guess that my 1950 M has no parts at all that would help in upgrading to an engine driven pump. Maybe I will look to another option.
