Help Needed on MF 35 Continental 4 cyl Gas Tank

Hi Everyone, The continuing saga of the MF35 Industrial with 100 loader and 220 backhoe. The gas tank leaks. When I did the new manifold job I located a tensile break in about 3" long on a curved part of the underside sorta near the filter/sediment flange. I cleaned it up real nice and ran...

    MF 100 Loader Spool

Guys, one thing about me is I will tell you when I f#$% up. I need a poop award or something. I am absolutely embarrassed to say that the problem was the upper righthand backhoe mount was bouncing against the female quick-connect ring on the reservoir and knocking out the power beyond supply...

    Part numbers

Correcting for clarity: What I see more in life than about anything else, so far as effed up: Google hasn't done a great job at educating people about their products. And their search is antiquated imo. People do not know how to truly search it. And even their advance search tool looks...

Lugnuts and jim are both right... Google. Google the parts with the spaces and without. The agco site is great if it has your model.

    MF 100 Loader Spool

hi Stan! The relief valve appears to be a-ok. The poppet and check valves as well. Sorry for the confusion on what I am asking. If I could narrow it down to one thing... "Why has this spool decided to work, and then not work in a split second?"

    MF 100 Loader Spool

Hey Jim... If I wanted to flush out the entire system, which is a mix of old and new fluid, how would I do that? One better, If I wanted to flush and clean the hydraulics, how would I do that? Thanks, Tim

    MF 100 Loader Spool

I got it working again. I [i:8552eba26e]think[/i:8552eba26e] I've determined the cause. I super-cleaned everything... 5 gal bucket of kerosene, soak, air, soak, air. After all that, when I ran the scope down the boom cylinder, I found sludge where you might expect to find it, given the...

    MF 100 Loader Spool

Wow, y'all are quick! I bought one of those cheap HF borescopes the other day. I will [i:d785b26266]carefully[/i:d785b26266] take a peak inside the cylinders for anything obvious. I cannot budge the slotted caps for the checks and poppet. I'm assuming since we are going to bail out on this...

    MF 100 Loader Spool

Thanks Jim and Stan. I read lots of other posts in various places and they say pretty much what Jim said, and some may have been Jim... hahaha So, I am now clear on the sealing method. Jim, for further clarity, I think you are also saying the cap rust is not a factor. I just got a set...

    MF 100 Loader Spool

Well... I'm not surprised for as long as this thing sat that the boom spool started acting up. Out of nowhere, the boom would only go up either way you pushed the lever. The pump was struggling too... you could tell it did not like what happened. I have the Double Acting Control Valve 704 647...

    Hello and Bad News

Nice idea. Been running it a little since the new tire. I cannot part with this thing. Too useful. I have a small property compared to what you guys prolly have... only 3 acres. I have the required residential Cub Cadet ZT (MTD) that I got for $800 from a buddy... damn thing runs and looks...

    Hello and Bad News

Thanks Jvin. That's some valuable info. I've been working to get time to pull the pan--might be this weekend. I had a couple side projects on this machine already in the works, and decided to finish them. I had to weld a split in the gas tank--which I thought was pretty odd... 3" material...

    Hello and Bad News

I tell ya, Stan, that's using the noodle. I will start documenting my work with some pics. Here's a link to some miscellaneous pics from when I picked it up and a few from working on it: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1veb7f2SIvI9DSVG-cNG0_-91tWKDK_-R This post was edited by...

    Hello and Bad News

Thanks ptfarmer! Ya know, I've used it enough to discover just how nice it is to have a loader--this one is my first. In all I've done, I've never had to deal with a cracked block. With what few marbles I have left rolling around in my head I'm a crunchin the numbers. I cannot find a working...

    Hello and Bad News

I love this board! I have gotten lots of info for my 8N and my MF. A little background since this is my first post of consequence: Prolly like most of you, I have worked on my own vehicles all my life mostly due to the fact I couldn't afford to get someone else to do the work when I was...

MF 204 loader needs hydraulic hose repair

Thanks a ton! I followed your part numbers and did the same thing, with one exception. I used a 90 degree ORB to JIC right off the spool... male-male. It fits fine and even clears the other ports to spin them on. For some reason I still couldn't let the old fitting go without being...

MF 204 loader needs hydraulic hose repair

This fitting is freely available if I am correct below. I suspect it is the Parker Tube-O part # 25M21-10-10 I believe this is the same fitting as the MF100 Loader. That parts manual lists a special fitting which I have tracked down. It is called Tube-O Swivel. Specifically, it seems the...
