    MF 135 Clutch issue

Not hard to see why it wasn't working right. The pressure plate looks like it has a couple cracks. The front side of the clutch is better and the flywheel isn't too bad, should clean up. The greasy mess looks to be more engine oil than gear oil so a new rear main seal is on the list.

    MF 135 Clutch issue

Definately needed to come apart. Aside from the obvious problems with the clutch, it's greasier in there than I think it ought to be. I'll get a better look at it tomorrow night.

    MF 135 Clutch issue

To have it that far apart and put used wearable parts back in doesn't make much sence, so it'll be a full clutch kit, at least. Who knows from there, rear main seal, front transmission seal? It's leaking a little oil from somewhere. We'll see.

    MF 135 Clutch issue

I think you're right. I adjusted them just because I was already under there and it was quick and easy, hoping I might get lucky but not really expecting to. I didn't. Since I'm all out of things I can do from the outside it looks like I'll be splitting the tractor.

    MF 135 Clutch issue

Adjusting the pedal was the first thing I tried, no luck. I did manage to get the chipper going one time by starting it with the PTO engaged. Even with the engine just above an idle letting the clutch out was not smooth, very noisy, jumpy sort of thing. It smoothed out once the chipper got going...

    MF 135 Clutch issue

I adjusted the PTO bolts and looked around as much as I could, nothing looked loose, damaged or out of place. No difference, I still can't start it in neutral and put it in gear without grinding. I have not tried to force it into gear. What I do not understand is why I can start it in gear with...

    MF 135 Clutch issue

Through the inspection hole I can see the PTO adjustment screws, but the main clutch lever screws are hard to see even with a mirror, no way to adjust those without splitting the tractor. The spec calls for .090" clearance on the PTO screws. One of mine is tight, no clearance at all, another has...

    MF 135 Clutch issue

My next step was going to be to remove the inspection plate and see if there might be something I could do without splittting the tractor, sounds like that's what you were able to do.

    MF 135 Clutch issue

My clutch does not seem to be fully disengaging. If I start the tractor in neutral and try to put it in gear it grinds. If I start the tractor in gear and hold the clutch down the tractor does not move untill I let the clutch out, and I am able to change gears, which doesn't seem to make sense...

    MF 135 Hydraulic question

I think you guys are right, might have been easier to figure out if my quadrant were labeled but the writing on it is long gone. Thanks.

    MF 135 Hydraulic question

I just got an MF 135 that for now I want to use to run a wood chipper. I have the chipper hooked up to the tractor but cant seem to get the lift to do what I want it to do. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or if I have a problem with the tractor. According to the operators manual I...
