    Lots of progress today! A buddy came and helped me. We got the shaft cut and both ends welded onto the stubs. We got it into the tractor and figured out how to mount the control box. I still need to make a bracket to hold the steering unit and wire up the unit. Happy with the progress.

    Got it off today, loys of heat and beat, About halfway off there was room to get the air chisel in there and drive it the rest of the way off, Next is to measure and cut and weld.

    Yes, but not enough room to get it in there. It's a diesel, foot starter converted to alternator so those crappy wires are for the generator that's gone, the red one is from the alternator. Might have to move it.
