    I think your valve should be connected so toward you is up, middle is down presure and all the way forward is float. Thats how my loader is.

    1460 IH combine

    I have same problem on my 1460. I installed hi pressure relief valve, new pump and new spool valve but still lifts slow even with bean head installed. I also have 3 cylinders.Is there another relief valve somewhere?

    front loader lift capacity for 8n?

    you would be crazy to try to lift 1600# with a 8n. even if you lifted it you couldn't turn and would be very easy to upset. not to mention your poor old front end. I can barely lift that much with my 1850 oliver with a westindorf loader

    jd 420 hyd pump priming

    I removed my 420t's hyd pump to replace some seals and bearings. It's been several months since I replaced it but I haven't tried to start it yet. Do I need to prime pump first? If so how? I don't want to burn it up from lack of oil. Gene

    JD 420 fan bolt

    I replaced three of the four bolts on my rad fan several weeks ago. Now I've lost the forth bolt. Since tightening these bolts is a pain with rad in place I don't want to remove one. So my question is, what size and thread pitch bolt and length do I need for 4th bolt? JD 420t Gene

    Sounds like your hand cranking shaft is frozen too close to the pulley. If you free it up it will retract so you can change belt. I changed my M's belt without taking the whole front off. I've seen lots of posts on here about how to free up crank rod. Try a search for Stuck crank rod.

    Strange Behaving Dodge Dakota 3.9L has Me Stumped

    my 95 dakota 3.9 auto is a dog always. some windy days i have to lock out of overdrive just to keep at 55 mph . wish i had a more power switch. It also sucks gas like a pig.

    now would be a good time to have your transmission codes scanned to see why your in limp mode. Also Id change transmission fluid and filter, look for chunks of metal in old fluid. Be sure to use only ATF+4. do not use dextron it is death to these transmissions

    My Ford 850 Tractor

    a few years ago i got a piston pump from a tractor salvage yard for my 960. when i installed it the hitch lifted about half as fast. i compared the new pump to old and the pistons were half as big as the ones in old pump. what tractors had the smaller piston pump?
