1 Remote for Batwing ok?

I have one rear remote on my tractor and am thinking about getting one of the 12' batwing cutters. A couple of the brands (rhino and landpride) only have one hydraulic line which is optimal for my 1 remote setup at the moment. Not being familiar with a batwing or the hydraulics, will the 1 remote lever raise everything all at once (lift and wings)? OR, does it lift sequentially (the lift cylinder raise 1st, then the wings 2nd)? In otherwords, if I need to lift the 'hog while going over a rock, when I move the lever, will the wings also come up while it is lifting at the same time? If that's the case, think 2 remotes would be best...just need someone to educate me, i guess.

Thanks!

What model Rhino are you referring to as a 12' flex wing?? I found every size but 12' on their website.

It's possible to raise center section and the wings with one hose. The part with the least resistance will raise first or there will need to be some restricters in some cyl inlet ports to facilitate which the section the manufacturer chooses to raise first.

Bought a 30 ft winged rolling harrow set up with only a single hydraulic. Wanted to pull it behind a disk that already required two outlets and have only three available, so didn't want to convert the harrow from a single to a dual. But unfortunantly with only a single the wings come up first. The rolling harrow manufacturer offered a valve which mounted on the implement that allows you to manually choose from a wings up first mode then lift, to an implement lift only mode. So one can use the implement lift only mode when in the field and when ready to transport, shift the lever to wings up first mode and then lift. Unless the goal is to mow ditches, this should work with your batwing.

It is the TS12 Stealth. Here's the link...

Guess I can always ask my local dealer to demonstrate how it would work and then go from there.

I often use my 15 foot BH with one outlet. My loader steals on circuit and I had not being able to use it when im moving for added ballast and dynamic braking. I just pull one wing up, lock it and then the other. Rarely need to lift both wings while running so its not too much of an issue.

I overlooked those models when I looked at the Rhino website. I think it will raise/lower as I described(least resistance first)

I used a woods B320 batwing mower with 1double remote for 25 years. I teed the wings together on one hose and used the other port to control the main lift. I always set the mowing height with the crank, been used by a lot of people over the years, My old Ford has slow hyd. so we have time to plan our moves!
