1020 carb

I will try to make this short.
My 1020 is or was equipped with a marvel schebler TSX 804S carburetor. I took it off with every intention of getting it rebuilt and then putting it back on but can't find anyone in my area who will rebuild it. A dealer is out of the question simply because it would be too expensive.
I inquired at the dealer as to the price of a new one and they quoted a little over a thousand dollars, so that's out.
I finally ordered one from all States Ag that is supposed to fit a 1020. However, it is a Zenith style 14996A and am wondering if it will work. If not, of course, I will send it back and try to make other arrangements.
I would really like to get the tractor running again before the snow starts flying, which in Missouri could be any time now.

Looks like the parts catalog calls for a TSX 904. PartsASAP shows a TSX rebuilt that is supposed to be suitable for use in place of the TSX 904, along with some other TSX models. I would call and ask about that one. PartsASAP may rebuild your carb if they don't have one rebuilt.

These are pics of the carb. Clearly, the tag reads 804S/ Not 904.
According to some info I came across, the 804S was used on a Case 301crawler tractor. I will go to parts ASAP and look around there.

I was not doubting you saying it is a TSX 804. I am just saying the 1020 parts catalog calls for a TSX 904. You might have better luck finding that one.
