1070 clutch pedal pivot modification.

Hello there. I purchased this 1070 a few years ago and am now just getting into looking it over. I noticed that someone welded a bracket to the cab to mount the pivot to. Have any of you folks seen this done before? The bolt does not go into the transmission housing. I am excited to get this tractor running now to see if the clutch is less jumpy. You know how when the cab mounts get a bit wore then the clutch becomes jumpy when the cab shakes.

Thoughts?
