1070 tractor axle

Anyone know the diameter of the axle of a 1070? I would like to find a set of axle hubs for duals. I found a person on local CL that might be parting out a 2-135 White tractor that has axle hub mounts. I am just wondering how universal axle hubs are from one tractor manufacturer to another. Thanks everyone.

my 1070 has 23.1x30s from a 1950 oliver /white ,,,nothing worked except for rims bolted to my hubs ,, keep in mind that case had serveral variances in wheel set-ups ,, and oliver / white likely did too ...

Kurt, 3 3/16 or 3 1/2 is what your tractor will have. Measure your axle. Don't know if other color tractor hubs will work because of keyway size. Even if you have the same size axle.

Eric,
I will do that. I was just curious if anyone knew if axle hubs were somewhat interchangeable. Thank you for the input. How are you doing up your way anyway?

They built small axle 1070s? I knew there were some early small axle 970 floating around. My first year 10 has 3.5" axles, maybe they are replacements.

(quoted from post at 08:34:21 05/02/13) RG yes, My dad had a 1978 1070, bought new from our dealer. Powershift, 3 3/16 axles, cab no A/C. Odd.

Do you think Case was just trying to use up parts they had left over?

Mine is a '74 but has the long axles for hub duals, 3.5". Maybe they used up the small dia axles on the short axle tractors no matter what year but if he is looking at axle duals then he has the long ones which I believe are all 3.5".
