Possibly have a chance to buy a 966 that has a 1086 engine installed. The engine is installed and running. It has about 75 hours of run time with the 1086 engine. The problem is the exhaust on the 1086 needs some room where the 966 fuel tank sits. Instead it has a piece of square tubing acting as the exhaust pipe sending exhaust out the side of the engine. With the turbo in place there just isn't enough room to run a pipe like it should from the turbo. The sheet metal to cover the engine has not been installed because of the way the exhaust is currently run.
Cure?
Smaller fuel tank? remove the turbo and install the stock exhaust and NA air intake? The original engine is laying on the floor in the shop beside the tractor.
