i just bought a ih 1086 and i want to plow with it. i dunno if the picturs worked but the front end is adjusted all the way in and the rear is all the way out. what to i need to do to plow with it? i prolly need weights in the front too?

Typically 'here' a 4-20 or 5-18 plow (we have tough soils....); line up the right side rubber so it follows & is set right for the furrows to line up. Typically the rubber in pretty close tot he tractor, but depends on the size of the plow & all.

Here any plow worth it's salt is a semi-mounted. a 4-20 IHC 720 would be cool, or the Oliver/White later plows. They handle cornstalks & trash well, and pull pretty easily.

This is just how i plow with my 1086 = I have my fronts pulled all the way in same as yours, and the inside of the fronts and the inside of the rears are lined up. I pull a 5 18" in heavy clay soil up here in canada and have no problem. I would recommend pulling them rears in, i would recommend so that the inside of the rears is even with the inside of the fronts. I do not have front weights on my 1086 for anything i do and feel no need for them, so i would not be worried about getting them. If you have any other questions about your 1086 id be happy to try and help if i can, nice looking 10 you got, take care
