Newly restored Case 110 hp engine, owned by Mike
Spahn, made its first appearance at the Badger Steam & Gas Engine Show in Baraboo, Wis. last weekend. The 40,000 lb. engine was made in 1911.

Did she get a new boiler? I saw a cut-a-way of one at the Canandaigua Pagent of Steam a couple of years ago that was replaced by a new one. It was pretty scary how thin it was in places.

case made a 150 h.p. but there is only one left known i guess and that is in a gravel pit in pieces! To bad, these monsters are neat, we have an 80 hp case made in 1916

Last year at Mt Pleasant I was lucky enough to see a 110 running on the dyno while a 75 horse Case was running next to it on a baker fan. Talk about a impressive display of steam power at work. That 110 is a awesome machine.

As to the last known 150hp boiler up until 4 years ago it was located in Davis Junction IL at George Hedtke's Hickory Oaks Farms where the North Central Illinois Steam and Power Show was held up until 1989. It was found in New Mexico being used for water storage for cattle I believe sometime in the 70's. It was sold in 2005 at auction along with 110, 80, 65, 50, 45, 18 portable, large gas traction tractors, and many small tractors, threshers, etc.
