12 volt generator for to 20

I was looking on ebay came across a 12 volt gererator for a to20, never seen one before. has anybody ever seen one. I an thinking about getting one.

If you have a generator for yours now you can take it to a rebuilder and they can make it a 12 volt. My TO 30 has the original generator except now it is a 12 volt.

why make it 12 volt just put a 8 volt battery in it dont have to change anything except make the generator put out alittle more

Triodiode on Fleabay sells the windings to change your genny to 12 V. However, it will still only produce 22 amps at the most. You need more windings for higher amperage and the TO-20 6V case is not physically large enough to accomodate larger windings to produce higher amperage.
