12 VOLT POINTS CONDENSER

I am wanting to swap distributors on my 140s, one is 12 volt and am wanting to move it to 6 volt system. Question will I have to change points and condenser in
both, Reason for swapping the six volt distributor is not IH and you have to remove distributor to set point, they are not two piece points.
Thanks

So what system do you have currently on the rest of the tractor?
Does it have a 6 volt or 12 volt battery?
If I'm getting this correct, you want to convert your whole tractor over from 12 volt back to 6 volt? Or do you just only want to change the coil to a 6 volt coil?

I am leaving systems as they are one is 12 volt and the other 6 volt, my keeper doesn't have a IH distributor, and has one piece points which can't.
be set with out pulling distributor. just needing to know if condensers need changing, thinking the points will be ok.
Thanks

Points and condenser don’t care what the voltage is. You can even keep your 6v coil, just add a resistor before the coil. You need either a resistor or a 12v coil with internal resistor. Regardless of system voltage, the points still only need 6v, otherwise they burn up a lot quicker.
