some of the purists get all riled up about this but it is certainly what I would do if I bought one with a bad engine instead of spending any money rebuilding the turbo 451 which was only 120hp

Glad to see you saving the 1200 mine has a 504 also it was in there when i got it from bartletville ok a couple years ago . Any brakes ????? It a big job but its worth it in the end.

How you all feel about a 1200 with a 6 71 detroit? It's gone now, but there used to be one about 10 miles from me.

How do you like your 1200 with the 504,Im hoping the 20hp extra will be a big difference, the old 451 was pretty tired so anything will be an improvement, im also getting the driveshaft brake and parts from a 1470.

Paul, i think the engine is sold to a friend of mine but im not sure. I should know in a couple of weeks. If it doesn't sell i will let you know.
