134ci to 172ci engine modify?

I recently purchased a ford tractor with a 134ci engine. The 172ci has 10hp more (not sure on these hp specs as gospel). Looks like the only difference is the block. Can the 134 block be cut to accept 172 sleeves? thanx.

No, but used 172 CI engines are plentiful.

Where are you? I know of a couple of 172's, one gas, one diesel, that are (or were) for sale.

A gas 172 resonable priced sounds like my best option. I'm by kingman AZ. (100mi south of Vegas)

I'm in n/w WI... a long ways away from FL or AZ. But I -may- be able to get a spot on a truck headed to FL. I'll have to ask. Don;t know of anyone headed to AZ, but wouldn't hurt to look on the hauling schedule onthe left side of the page.

The rebuilt 172 gas that I knew of has been sold; the diesel (used, unknown condition) is still available, but the truck I knew of heading to FL has already gone.
