135 power steering

I have a 135 with power steering that doesn't work. I bought a shop manual and a operators manual so I could work on the tractor. When i look up procedure for bleeding air and checking fluid level I found that the two manuals don't even agree on which fluid to use! SM calls for spec m-1110 and the om calls for hydraulic oil m-1129-A. Also the pictures show the power steering pump on the left side of the tractor. Mine is on the right side and looks like their picture for the diesel. I have the 3 cylinder perkins gas motor. I am totally confused and not sure where to start with all of the seemingly contradictory info in these manuals.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Does your manual cover both engines if it does that may be why. Don't know about the oil but on my ford i had to turn the wheel all the way to the right momentarily (2 sec.)then the same thing to the left. It must self bleed itself?

The Perkins gas and the Perkins diesel are the EXACT SAME ENGINE BLOCKS....Power steering pump will be in same location on both.

I'm still not sure which fluid I should use. So do you think maybe they just changed the numbers some where along the line and they are the same fluid? I guess I will start looking to see which is available and go from there. My tractor steering system is bled the same way-by turning wheels left and right. Thanks a lot for your help. This is a wonderful site for getting information.
