hey fellas, my pto wont engage on my 135 unless i kill the tractor or let it idle down till it nearly dies. any suggestions? thanks ,Bradley

Are you pushing in the clutch? Any history? Probably just needs adjustment.

It is common to have to feather the clutch sometimes to engage the PTO. It's not a constant mesh engagement. The PTO should always be engaged at idle. It might need a little adjusting too. Dave

Hello,
Reducing engine speed to idle sounds like you still have to 'crash' it a little to engage.
Where in the pedal travel does the second stage start? It should be just below half way. I believe it might be nearer the bottom. You will need to adjust the three screws around the clutch unit. to raise the second stage. There are plenty of postings on here for this adjustment. Make sure that forward motion stops before you enter the second stage and that the PTO stops on its own at around 1 inch from full depression of the pedal.
