140/cub rear wheel

I have a 140 that has a rear wheel real rusty from what I assume was side dressing tobacco before I got it. It has 12.4 /11/24 tires. A
friend has traded for a set of cub wheels with rotten 8-24 tires that I can get reasonable. Are these basically the same wheels ? I would
like to replace the rusty one before it goes down. Thanks Lee

I'm pretty sure a Cub rim is narrower than a 140 rim. I suggest that you measure the good one on your 140 and get one the same size as it.

What the other two replies said are true, but the small part of the problem. The lugs on Cub wheels are mounted at a different offset and have a different diameter bolt circle.

I have seen wheels for one model that were mounted on the other, so it is possible. But is requires some modification that doesn't reflect well on the person that did it. :(

They really don't match up for use. I believe using a rotary wire brush on your existing wheel to assess the real thickness and safety might convince you to have them sand blasted the pits filled, and painted. If they do show thin metal and can't be depended on, at least you know the full story. Jim

Original rims on a Cub were 7in wide and they measure 8in outside to outside and the rims do not fit a 140. yOU NEED TO GET A NEW RIM 10 INCHES WIDE IF YOU ARE GOING TO USE SUCH BIG TIRES

CUB rims do not fit the 140 so the 140 also not fit CUBS the CUB rims are in a class by themselves without doing some work on the centers
